My husband and I thought our family was complete after the birth of our third child. My pregnancy had not been an easy one, and we felt blessed that everything had turned out well in the end. We decided we would not have any more children, and we wanted a sure way of preventing another pregnancy. We just didn’t want to worry about the issue anymore. The idea of a vasectomy was a solution for us. My husband underwent the procedure with no complications and he happily told me afterwards that it was relatively painless. We were thrilled that we could get on with our lives. After a few years we began to question our decision. We thought maybe we would like to try for one more child after all. We assumed that a vasectomy reversal was not possible, but we decided to look into it. There are so many good reasons for a vasectomy but it is reassuring to know that a reversal is possible.
